Organization Description: Aid to Inmate Mothers (AIM) provides educational programs such as Life Skills, Parenting, Literacy, and Domestic Violence in the prison setting. They also provide visitation with children, Storybook Program which is a book taping program by inmate mothers for children and follow up for released inmates. In addition, they offer a summer camp for children with incarcerated parents.

Internship Description: The intern would help do interviews at the prison, run inmate board meetings, assist with visitation, girl scout troop, help write grants and organize established fundraisers.

Internship Description: NOW offers volunteer internship opportunities, both full and part time, throughout the year. A minimum commitment of 3 days per week is required for spring and fall internships while summer interns must work at least 4 days per week. Full time interns are preferred. Internship Description: Interns work with Planned Parenthood to ensure that every woman has access to reproductive health care. Interns organize and recruit activists, lobby legislators, staff tables at events, research and write, coordinate with students on college campuses, do clinic advocacy and organize events. Hours are flexible but 7-15 hours per week are required. Specific internships are available in Public Affairs, Community Outreach and Health Center operations.

Internship Description: CFW offers an internship program that is very loosely organized. Intern opportunities exist with the development department and are available year round. Some are paid and some are unpaid. The Communications Department offers and internship from late summer to early fall, usually paid at $8-9 an hour. While they promote organizing advocacy by grantee organizations they are not a political organization and do not lobby officials. Interns are chosen in the months of May, August and December.
