Organization Description: Aid to Inmate Mothers (AIM) provides educational programs such as Life Skills, Parenting, Literacy, and Domestic Violence in the prison setting. They also provide visitation with children, Storybook Program which is a book taping program by inmate mothers for children and follow up for released inmates. They offer a Girl Scout Troop and summer camp for children with incarcerated parents.

Internship Description: The intern would help do interviews at the prison, run inmate board meetings, assist with visitation, girl scout troop, help write grants and organize established fundraisers.

Internship Description: Interns participate in lobby visits and strategy sessions with other national advocates, draft letters and alerts, attend hearings and press conferences, monitor and analyze legislation, and respond to technical assistance requests. Legal interns may also be involved in legislative drafting. They will provide help with securing outside funding for this internship. A minimum commitment of 30 hours per week is required.
