Description: The criminal division of the U.S. Attorneys Office prosecutes crimes under Federal Statutes.

Internship/Seasonal Positions: Law Clerks are given considerable responsibility and are expected to perform all the tasks that an attorney in the office would undertake in the prosecution of criminal cases. Law clerks are given their own caseload of ten to twenty misdemeanor criminal cases including traffic cases, theft of government property, forgery, and Social Security fraud. Law clerks are supervised by an Assistant U.S. Attorney and the senior law clerk and are given extensive research and writing projects in addition to their own caseload.
