Description: The Juneau office is a federal agency field office providing legal support to the U.S. Forest Service. Areas of work include major litigation over Tongass National Forest timber sales, Exxon Valdez Oil spill restoration, regulation of fish and wildlife harvest, regulation of mining and enforcement of law and regulations governing the use of national forest lands.
Internship/Seasonal Positions: Interns perform discovery, legal research and writing and other law clerk tasks. An intern can expect to work intensively on major legal issues and controversies that are relevant to public lands, natural resources and government contract practice in government, public interest and public sectors. Each intern is assigned to an experienced attorney who serves as a mentor and supervisor.
