Description: The Congressional Research Service works exclusively and directly for the members of Congress in support of their legislative, oversight and representative functions. It provides research analysis, and information services that are required to be timely objective and nonpartisan. The service researches and analyzes issues in all public policy areas but does not advocate policies or legislation.
Internship/Seasonal Positions: Interns work in the Bill Digest Section to produce legislative data bases that furnish summaries and legislative histories for all measures introduced and receiving action in Congress. Interns have the opportunity to work in a wide range of subject areas including environment and natural resource, health, education, science and technology and foreign and defense policy.
